Youth unemployment in Europe is rising again, while young people’s smooth transition into a first job is essential for their careers and lives. What can we do to support young people’s #TransitionToWork effectively during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic? Join the European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights Nicolas Schmit, the Secretary General of the Goethe-Institut Johannes Ebert and partners of the StartNet project from all across Europe to discuss the EU youth employment support package “Bridge to Jobs”. Interactive breakout sessions will permit discovering inspiring practices from the grassroots on social inclusion, orientation & career guidance, key competences & skills, and VET & apprenticeships. Connecting policy with practice, the event contributes to a discourse around key processes of the German Council Presidency in the fields of youth, education and employment. The conference is kindly co-hosted by the European Policy Centre.
