On 1 July, Germany will take over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from Croatia. To celebrate this, the Munich Radio Orchestra with its Croatian conductor Ivan Repušić and the Croatian Radiotelevision Choir and Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Tomislav Fačini will lead the audience on a journey through the musical history of Croatia and the German-speaking countries. In their welcome, the ministers for culture of the two countries will highlight the special character of this televised concert as a symbol of European cohesion. The concert at the Hercules Hall of the Munich Residence and at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb will be broadcast on TV (ARD-alpha) on Monday, 6 July 2020 at 10.15 p.m. and will be available as video-on-demand at https://www.br-klassik.de/concert/ausstrahlung-2218566.html. The concert will also be broadcast by the EBU.
