In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, during this Council Presidency the traditional meeting of Chief Medical Officers will take place in the form of a virtual meeting. Given the current situation, the issue of cross-border contact tracing will be addressed. In the context of COVID-19 measures, the heads of the EU member states’ national public health institutes will also be invited to the conference. The meeting will serve to exchange experiences and discuss strategies to improve and simplify cross-border contact tracing. Representatives of the EU Commission and the WHO Regional Office for Europe will also be invited.
