The informal meeting will be chaired by Germany’s Federal Minister of Education and Research, Anja Karliczek, who will welcome research ministers at 9.15 with a virtual statement that will be broadcast live. The meeting itself will start at 10.00.
At this informal meeting, research ministers will discuss the contributions of research and innovation to processes of social, economic and ecological transformation. At this first meeting of research ministers during Germany’s Council Presidency, the Trio Presidencies of Germany, Portugal and Slovenia will present their common roadmap for research and education policy.
The Federal Minister of Education and Research, Anja Karliczek, and the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel, will hold a joint press conference after the meeting at around 16.00. This press conference will also be broadcast live.
