Informal Videoconference of EU Development Ministers: These topics were discussed

EU development ministers met for an informal videoconference on 29 September under the auspices of the German Presidency of the Council of the EU.

Germany's Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Gerd Müller, together with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, hosted the virtual exchange.

One important topic was the EU’s future relations with its neighbouring continent - Africa. The meeting also served to prepare for the Formal Meeting of EU Development Ministers in November. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting took place virtually.
