On Wednesday, 4 November from 12.30 to 1.30 pm, students from the primary school Vuoniityn peruskoulu in Vuosaari will visit the residence of the German Ambassador to present their messages about the future of our planet to Minister for Europe, Tytti Tuppurainen, Sami activist Petra Laiti, and ecological economist Miika Korja, and discuss this topic with them. The students recorded their messages via the “Earth Speakr” app. “Earth Speakr” is an artwork by Olafur Eliasson (more information: www.earthspeakr.art). The event is part of the cultural programme of the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2020 and is being organised together with the Goethe-Institut. Ambassador Arz von Straussenburg‘s welcome speech will be in English followed by the discussion in Finnish. You are welcome to join in via livestream: https://youtu.be/txcS2_v3STI .
