As a contribution to the cultural programme of the German EU Council Presidency, the Spanish foundation Cultura En Vena, in cooperation with the German Embassy in Madrid, invited young artists from the fields of visual arts and literature to take part in an art contest from 7.9. to 11.11. to explore what role art plays in sustaining people's health. Selected works will be shown in Spanish hospitals the following year. The eight winners will be announced on 30 November at 12 noon at the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid and each will receive 1000 euros in prize money. The art contest combines experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic with the importance of culture for the cohesion of our society.
