30 young filmmakers, twelve films, one question: What is Europe? With the aim of promoting intercultural exchange, the Deutsche Filmakademie Produktion has launched the short film competition Europe in Film. On the occasion of the German presidency of the EU Council young creative people have set out on a search for clues, explored EU-relevant topics and highlighted these in various films. The short films have been shown publicly since 4 December 2020.

In the digital event Europe in Film - Film in Europe: Be Part of it!, the Federal Foreign Office and the Deutsche Filmakademie Produktion will now honour and select the winners of the Jury Award and the Audience Award. In addition, two exciting panels on questions of European participation, feminism and the European public sphere will be held with young filmmakers and representatives of the Federal Foreign Office.

Organiser: Federal Foreign Office (with missions abroad)
