30 young filmmakers, twelve films, one question: what is Europe? With the purpose of promoting intercultural exchange, the Deutsche Filmakademie Produktion has launched the short film competition EUROPA IM FILM. The result is twelve short films that are a creative reflection on Europe - fictional and documentary, topical and political: they deal with migration, freedom, feminism, borders, human rights and the effects of the Corona pandemic. The twelve films are now celebrating their digital, free and publicly accessible premiere on the streaming platform alleskino.de and are available until 17 January 2021. In addition, the filmmakers will be talking to the jury about their films, their ideas and their project development.The Federal Foreign Office supports the competition as part of the cultural programme of the German EU Council Presidency and aims at strengthening the European public sphere.
