The German government is working towards an EU Action Plan to strengthen corporate responsibility that promotes transparency and social, environmental and human rights standards in global supply chains and supports coherent implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines for MNEs. The virtual forum will focus on current developments at the European level. High-level representatives of governments, civil society and businesses from the global North and South will share their perspectives on mandatory human rights and environmental due diligence legislation at the European level. As part of the virtual forum, the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre (BHRRC), together with the BMZ, will present a compendium of further perspectives from various stakeholders on these important developments.
