At a time when Jewish communities across our continent have direct encounters with hate, with the majority of the incidents taking place online, combating and preventing online hate speech is an absolute priority. The objective of this conference is to take stock of the actions of EU member states and providers of online content to guarantee a culture of free and open debate, both online and offline, and to protect Jewish citizens affected by criminal hate speech. The discussions will focus on the role of prevention work and education as an effective deterrent to future anti-Semitic actions and on the inclusion of young people as digital natives in this process.
