The spread of COVID-19 has turned living rooms into office spaces and kitchen tables into classrooms, underscoring both the challenges and opportunities that stem from virtual work and digitalised communication. The lesson from these experiences is clear: Europe must bolster its digital sovereignty to effectively respond to future challenges, guarantee livelihoods and ensure the security of its citizens.
