Olafur Eliasson will be presenting his artwork Earth Speakr as part of the TED Countdown – a global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas into action.

The participatory artwork Earth Speakr, a coproduction with children and young people from across Europe, was financed by the Federal Foreign Office on the occasion of the German Council Presidency. Made up of an interactive app and a digital platform, among other things, it is meant to give young European citizens the opportunity to express their expectations for the future and to make these voices heard in public.

On 10.10.20, the TED Countdown will launch with a virtual event on Youtube bringing more than 50 speakers together in five curated sessions that combine TED's signature blend of actionable and research-backed ideas, cutting-edge science, and moments of wonder and inspiration. Earth Speakr forms part of second session, which is between 12.00 – 13.10. See the full program and list of speakers at the links below.

TED Countdown invites every organization, company, city and country – as well as citizens everywhere – to participate in it. The goal: To build a better future by cutting greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030 in the race to a zero-carbon world – a world that is safer, cleaner and fairer for everyone.
