The COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the digital and ecological transformation, have once again highlighted the particular importance of continuing education and training as a central response to structural changes in the labour market. Many EU member states are facing similar challenges. In the framework of Germany's Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) will host the online panel “Continuing education in times of digital transformation and the Corona-crisis: European opportunities for the work of tomorrow”. The panel will be opened by Federal Labour Minister Hubertus Heil. The panellists will include State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs Björn Böhning, responsible for the National Skills Strategy, as well as further high-ranking political representatives from the EU institutions and the competent ministries in the EU member states. Viewers can ask questions and make comments via chat.
