With the EU Youth Conference, the German Presidency will put special emphasis on making young people’s views and ideas for democratic interaction in Europe more visible. It also forms an integral part of a new cycle of the EU Youth Dialogue. Within the framework of the Trio Presidency, Germany, Portugal and Slovenia - together with European partners - will coordinate the EU Youth Dialogue. The subject will be “Europe for YOUth – YOUth for Europe: Space for Democracy and Participation”.
Young people and political decision-makers from the EU member states and other European countries will participate in the conference. Among other things, the results of the event are expected to be taken into account in the planned conclusions of the Council on the subject of “youth and democracy”.
