During the first meeting of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) after the summer break, the Federal Minister of Education and Research Anja Karliczek will present the programme of the German Presidency in the fields of research and innovation. She will first present the main priorities and objectives and give a brief review of the Informal Meeting of Research Ministers on 21 July 2020, followed by a question and answer session with members of the Committee. Priorities include a more dynamic European Research Area with concrete initiatives, such as research on green hydrogen, the management of the Covid-19 crisis and the negotiations on EU programmes on research and innovation, especially Horizon Europe. The Committee meeting is open to the public and can be accessed as a live stream or recording on the European Parliament’s website.
