Gender equality policies aim to achieve equal opportunities for women and men. This applies to both paid employment and unpaid care work. In order to promote and stabilise gender-equal arrangements for balancing paid and unpaid work, certain framework conditions need to be established.
We will discuss ways to promote equal participation of women and men in professional and family life at the “Balancing Unpaid Care Work” online conference on 4 September between 3:15 p.m. and 5:40 p.m.
A talk with the German Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth Dr Franziska Giffey, the presentation of the civil society alliance “Sorgearbeit fair teilen” and an expert discussion on the Gender Care Gap are part of the programme.
