Artificial intelligence (AI) has already become an integral part of media organizations and the news industry. The algorithms of AI can cope with the enormous quantities of information and can help in gathering data and producing reports more quickly in breaking news situations. However, as machine learning technologies pervade almost every aspect of our lives – if not already then in the near future – why not journalism, too? German broadcaster Deutsche Welle will discuss these and similar topics in this focus session.
