The observation of human rights in supply chains does not end at Europe’s borders. Companies with global business activities based in Europe must also assume responsibility for rights-holders in their supply chains and at production sites outside of Europe. How should an EU strategy in this field be designed? This question will be discussed by political decision-makers, civil society, companies, trade unions, international organisations and European institutions on 6 and 7 October 2020 at the “Global Supply Chains – Global Responsibility” conference.

Panel discussions and workshops will mainly focus on the question of how an EU action plan for human rights and decent work in global supply chains could be designed to strengthen corporate responsibility across the EU.
