Throughout the years, the goal of the annual conferences of the German Academic International Network (GAIN) has been to support the networking of the German academic community in the United States and Canada, in dialogue with academic policy stakeholders in Germany.
This year, for the first time, German academics from various countries in Europe and other regions of the world will also participate in this exchange. Around 500 participants from science, politics and business are expected to attend the event. The virtual GAIN conference will provide scope for forging personal contacts and for individual advice on building a career in Germany as an academic location. Questions concerning specific fields will be discussed and practical tips offered for the period following the post-doc phase. The annual conference is organised and implemented by the German Academic International Network (GAIN).
