The evening event hosted by the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Stiftung provides an opportunity for the Humboldt family – research prizewinners, fellows and alumni – from Munich and its environs to interact. It also offers the chance for personal conversations with representatives of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
The aim of this mutual exchange is to enable scientists from all over the world and across all disciplines to forge contacts in their new academic and personal environment. Since 2015, the two foundations have awarded joint research fellowships, prizes and grants, financed by funds from the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Stiftung, to researchers in Munich and the surrounding area.
