The EEA Council meets twice a year at ministerial level (Ministers of Foreign or European affairs) and provides political impetus for the development of the EEA. The EEA Council assesses the overall functioning and development of the EEA Agreement and adopts conclusions reflecting its deliberations. In addition, an informal political dialogue on current foreign policy issues takes place. The EEA Council consists of the members of the Council of the European Union and members of the EU Commission and of one member of Government of each of the EEA EFTA States.
