The Urban Agenda Technical Preparatory Group (UATPG) will meet at EU member states’ working level to discuss the further development of the Urban Agenda for the EU and the status of thematic partnerships in the framework of the Agenda.
With the Pact of Amsterdam, adopted in 2016, new ideas were provided for creating better networks of cities in the EU. The Urban Agenda for the EU has provided a framework for new, voluntary and informal cooperation since then, between relevant levels of EU institutions, member states, regions and cities in the field of urban development. At the core of the Urban Agenda are 14 thematic partnerships with representatives from all levels.
