The Urban Agenda Technical Preparatory Group (UATPG) will meet at the working level of EU member states to discuss further developing the Urban Agenda for the EU and the status of thematic partnerships in the framework of the Agenda.
With the Pact of Amsterdam, adopted in 2016, new ideas were provided for creating better networks of cities in the EU. The Urban Agenda for the EU has since provided a framework for new, voluntary and informal cooperation between relevant levels of EU institutions, member states, regions and cities in the field of urban development. At the core of the Urban Agenda are 14 thematic partnerships with representatives from all levels.
