The Federal Chancellor will be taking part in a special meeting by the European Council in Brussels on 17/18 July. The heads of state and government will be meeting in person – for the first time since February – in Brussels, to discuss the recovery plan for overcoming the COVID-19 crisis and a new, long-term EU budget, known as the Multiannual Financial Framework.
