Every year, the EMN organises two conferences in cooperation with the current Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The EMN annual conference “Towards effective asylum and migration management – Innovative approaches and their implementation in practice” will address the EU’s common challenges and practical strategies for effective asylum and migration management. The agenda covers a broad range of topics, from discussions about information management in the context of migration, through the digital transformation of the asylum procedure, to the humanitarian admission of people seeking protection.
The conference will bring representatives from EU member states, the European Commission, international organisations, civil society and the research community together. It will also provide an opportunity for sharing views and experiences regarding the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on migration.
