The informal meeting of ministers responsible for urban matters is intended to finalise the New Leipzig Charter as a strategic European framework document on integrated urban development based on the common good. The 2007 Leipzig Charter will be taken forward in this spirit and adapted to the new conditions.
On 1 December, the ministers for territorial cohesion will adopt the 2030 Territorial Agenda and several Europe-wide measures to implement it so as to strengthen territorial cohesion in Europe. In this context, they will discuss the future challenges and priorities of the territorial challenges and priorities of Europe.
