Due to the coronavirus crisis, it will not be possible to have the conference of the heads of the European border authorities, which was to be held at the Schwielowsee Resort in Werder (Havel) on 12 and 13 August 2020. For this reason, the Federal Police Headquarters will hold a half-day videoconference at the online studio of the Federal Ministry of the Interior in Berlin.
The conference will address the protection of the external borders.
The heads of the following authorities will be invited:
EU (27), GBR, CHE, NOR, ISL, LIE for the western Balkans BIH, MNE, SRB, MZD, ALB, KOS; and the heads of Frontex and Europol. There will be 40 participants in all (including DEU as the host, with approximately 5 participants in the online studio). The other participants will be connected virtually via video link.
