The high-level conference of the BMI is dedicated to the vital role of public administration in digital transformation based on fundamental democratic values, ethical principles and the active involvement of civil society. At the informal online conference, ministers responsible for digital transformation in public administration will seek agreement on shared goals and values for digital society, and will push to advance these aims by concluding a Berlin Declaration on Digital Society. Following the conference, the BMI invites the public to join an interactive online panel discussion with policymakers and representatives of civil society, NGOs and the academic community on the topic “The Berlin Declaration: Shaping a values-based digital transformation in Europe”, starting at 15.00.
