This meeting stands out from regular meetings of Directors-General at the EU level. In addition to the formal meetings of the EU Civil Protection Working Party, the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community, together with the European Commission, will organise an informal meeting. We will be inviting the EU member states as well as Norway, Iceland, Serbia, Montenegro, Turkey and North Macedonia. The Commission will set the agenda and chair the meeting. Germany will be the co-chair and as such will be able to submit its own agenda items. The focus will be on amending the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
