The COVID-19 pandemic and its repercussions are creating the greatest economic and social challenges ever faced by the European Union. The regulatory framework is a key lever for economic recovery, tackling the COVID-19 crisis, and generally boosting competitiveness and growth. Efforts need to be stepped up, not least at the EU level, to make this framework as efficient, innovation-friendly and future-proof as possible. Not least for these reasons, better regulation and reduction of bureaucracy are therefore important priorities of the German Presidency of the Council of the EU. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) invites stakeholders to participate in the virtual Conference on Better Regulation on 3 November 2020 with a view to discussing current issues and challenges of better regulation at the EU level.
The live stream will start at 14.00 and will be available in three languages.
