The informal meeting of Directors-General for European Affairs traditionally takes place at the beginning of the EU Council Presidency. The objective of the meeting is to present the presidency programme and to informally discuss relevant topics of current European affairs. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting will be held digitally, not in Dresden as originally planned, and in cooperation with the State Chancellery of Saxony. The digital meeting will build on earlier planning and will include a virtual presentation of the city of Dresden.
