On 13 October, a high-level conference will be held with the research ministers of the Trio Presidency. The aim is to adopt a joint declaration on cancer research that will generate an atmosphere of positive change for the Trio Presidency to sustain the topic of cancer research in the two successor presidencies.
Originally planned for the following day, the workshop “Scientists Meet Patients: Increasing the Impact of Cancer Research” with junior researchers and representatives of patients' organisations has been postponed until 2021 owing to the ongoing pandemic. In its place, there will be a virtual meeting on the topic of increasing participation in European cancer research.
