The 40th session of the Executive Body of the UNECE Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution will take place from 14 to 18 October in Geneva, Switzerland. Since 1979, the UNECE Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution has been the only multilateral convention on air pollution legally binding under international law. As part of its EU Council Presidency, Germany will take over the coordination of the EU member states.
