This year’s IMPEL General Assembly, including the National Coordinators Meeting, will take place from 1 to 3 December. IMPEL is a network of European environmental authorities (including EU member states, EFTA and EEA countries as well as EU accession candidates) responsible for the enforcement of environmental legislation. The network’s objective is to exchange information and experiences, jointly carry out inspections and projects, and develop solutions to improve application of environmental legislation. The General Assembly is the highest authority of IMPEL and is traditionally held once a year in the EU member state holding the EU Council Presidency in the second half of the year.
