The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and the Federal Environment Agency will host an international conference on green procurement on 12 and 13 October, both in Berlin and as a virtual event. The ESDN is an informal network of public administrators and other experts dealing with sustainable development strategies in Europe. The conference will focus on the European Green Deal and young people as advocates of change and the future. A European youth camp will be held ahead of the conference, bringing together young people to discuss the challenges ahead of them and their opinions on how to proceed. The results will be presented at the ESDN conference. German Environment Minister Schulze will participate, and Chancellor Merkel and UNDP Administrator Steiner have also accepted an invitation to take part.
It will be a hybrid conference, meaning that it will be hosted with a limited number of participants on location in Berlin and as a virtual conference with streaming and interactive online formats.
