On the afternoon of 22 October 2020 the third conference of environment and climate ministers of Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries, EU member states and the EU Commission on environment and climate action will take place in Luxembourg City back-to-back with the EU Environment Council on 23 October. The EU Commission and the German EU Council Presidency are jointly organising the meeting. Launched in 2009, the EaP aims to offer the EU’s Eastern neighbours Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine a separate political framework for approximation to EU values and standards without prospects for accession to the EU. Key areas of cooperation include environment and climate change.
