The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety will host this conference together with the Federal Environment Agency, or UBA, as part of the HBM4EU project. HBM4EU is a joint effort between 30 countries. The project is coordinated by the UBA and serves to further develop European chemicals policy. The conference will shed light on national, international and EU-wide prospects in this area. Experts and interest groups from academia, politics, administration, industry and associations are invited. The aim of the conference is to present and discuss both the progress of the HBM4EU project and the new chemicals strategy that is part of the Green Deal, due to be published ahead of the conference by the EU Commission. Germany's Environment Minister Svenja Schulze will open the conference.
