What constitutes good communication about science? In cooperation with senior members of the Alliance of Science Organisations in Germany, selected representatives from research funding bodies, foundations and academies, science journalists and experts in scientific communication, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research will try to answer this question. The answer can then be used as a basis for voluntary commitments from the institutions involved and recommendations for action for policymakers.
