Hochschulforum Digitalisierung is a German think tank, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, that fosters discourse on higher education in the digital age. During the three-day event, University: Future Festival – Learning and Systems in a Digital Society, it seeks to launch a discussion on how digital transformation can enhance higher education. The topic has become even more important in light of the new situation in which the university system finds itself due to the coronavirus pandemic. In response to the pandemic, the festival has been moved into the digital space. More than a thousand people from the fields of higher education, politics and industry from Germany and elsewhere are expected to attend. The extensive programme is intended to provide a space for discussion and exchange for those responsible for digital transformation in universities.
