The Federal Ministry of Education and Research strives to ensure equal opportunities in education, academia and research. This conference will present successful measures and programmes that reflect this objective. Representatives from EU member states will discuss forward-looking approaches to enhance equal opportunities and gender-differentiated research, and develop them further for implementation within the European Research Area. Keynote speeches, panel discussions and forums will provide opportunities for discussing suitable strategies and visions for the structural integration of equal opportunities policies. The integration of gender and diversity in research will also be addressed. The event is geared toward policy actors in science and equal opportunities from universities, research institutions and governments in Germany and other EU member states.
